GPU Memory Error while Redering - Max 16 with mentel ray

I am using 3Ds max trying to model landscapes.

I am facing low GPU memory error ( Screenshot attached ) while rendering.

I have also attached a picture showing current no. of faces and objects in the file.

System Configuration

CPU - i7 6700 - Quad Core

RAM - 32 GB - 2133MHz - (4 x 8), HyperX Fury

GPU - Quadro K620

SSD - 120 GB Samsung 850 Pro.

I am thinking of a graphics card upgrade but unable to choose which one i should get.

Just on a first look you have your image precision slider maxed out. Your machine is locking up as it cant handle this level of image precision.

I only ever render at Min 1, Quality 1.

I noticed that and tried to change image precison to min. But the problem
remains the same.

Its a strange one because Mental ray renders with CPU not GPU.

Maybe try resetting the scene. Then import / merge this scene into the new blank one.

It will reset all your settings like exposure so you will have to adjust those but may fix it.

If not just try rendering something simple like a box, then you will know its your scene not your hardware.
