backburner 2018 download link

I need to download 2018 version of backbuner installer but I can´t find it on app exchange, just 2019 version.

Are you able to help me out?

Hey Surrealismo,

Thanks for your inquiry. If you have 3ds Max 2018, you should be able to run the installer again and let it install Backburner 2018. However, Backburner 2019 will accept jobs submitted from 3ds Max 2017-2019, so if you download and install Backburner 2019 from the Autodesk App Store, you should be good to go. Please let us know if this works for you!

Backburner 2019 is totally non functional on the render slave I've installed it on, despite uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. Nothing happens on any version of running the executables whether as administrator or not. no errors - just nothing, zero response.

I need the working 2018 backburner back. We've got deadlines. Why is there no download or link for installer for backburner2018? (why has development been such a debacle recently - non-functional backburner2019 that is a total pig to revert from, broken network render dialog in latest max etc)

Please explain what you actually mean by "run the installer" for max2018 - where is this installer - these days you just have that autodesk desktop app thing.

Clarification: 1. uninstalled backburner2019 (again) 2. then used the autodesk website to run the max2018 install process & checked the backburner2018 component 3. the installer reports it fails to install backburner2018 4. tried several installs to different hard drive locations on both hard drives. 5. cannot revert any backburner2019 to previous working network rendering of backburner2018 without support help.

Hi Piers,

Sorry for the confusion here. When you downloaded and installed 3ds Max 2018, did it create a Max 2018 installation folder in C:\Autodesk? If not, then you might want to log into your Autodesk Account, do a Browser download of the entire 3ds Max 2018 install files (2 files, around 4 gigs total), then run those to install all the Max 2018 components in C:\Autodesk. You should then be able to run the Max 2018 setup again and allow it to reinstall Backburner.
