Arnold AOVs dramatically different than standard pass.

Both of these landscapes were rendered with Arnold.  One is from the Max render window, the other is from the Arnold render window.  I'm new to Arnold, so this is clearly some setting I have wrong.  I think this is beyond an incorrect colorspace setting, but honestly, I don't know.

Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

Nothing wrong. It is probably your exposure. Can you share your Env Slot settings?

Thanks for the reply.  I kept playing with it, and now it renders black.  I'd like to take a step backwards in my understanding of Arnold.  Here's a super simple scene.  1 Arnold quad light.  2 objects with Arnold Standard Surface textures.  Nothing I change will make the Arnold RenderView render anything except black.

The Max render window renders fine with both Production and Active Shade.  I think I need to understand why the Arnold RenderView window renders differently than the Max render window.  Aren't they BOTH rendering with Arnold?

Thanks.

Same result. Check if you are using the latest version. Render Setup - Arnold Renderer tab and Max Version

Thanks so much for taking the time to check that scene.   I'm using the latest version of Arnold and latest version of Max 2021.  I'm at a loss.  Here's my render.  I'm doing something wrong with the Arnold RenderView and the AOVs, because the AOV RGBA pass is also completely black.

Is there a way to reset 3ds Max's config file or something?  In Modo, this sort of problem presents itself every few months and you have to trash the configs.

I found the solution.  I did not have "Enable AOVs"  set in the view menu.   All working now.

Thanks again for looking at it.
