Hello, so I have installed 3ds max 2018 from 2017, and there is a problem, I go onto any menu e.g. File, Edit, Tools etc. and I can click on them all and they all work, but when there is an arrow next to one so there are more buttons e.g. File > Export, I cannot click on any buttons that show, they disappear and I can't click them.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I had the same issue with a recent switch from 2017 to 2018. the two files fixed the problem.
Thank You
I had the same problem and that files fixed for me thx 🙂
By the way, this fix is also included with 2018 update 4, so the recommended action at this point is to apply the update rather than using the scripts posted here.
That one solved my problem. Thanks. 🙂
Hello,
I have the same issue with 2018. After copying the files where advised, I still cannot use the import/export functions.
I pasted the .ms file in \stdscripts and the .py file in scripts\Python.
Can you help?
Thank you,
Luiza
Are you running 2018 Update 4? The fix is included in that build.
yes........ your script has worked.........😍
Thank you
Ran into this issue today. The scripts still work. Hard to believe that this still hasn't been permanently fixed for all machines.
