Hi!

I would like to wire link / reaction manager / script a morpher spinner to control an opacity spinner of a composite material.
If there was some "link" button that would be so nice but i guess it doesn't works like that!

I'm a total noob in scripting. I know how to make it using reaction manager + joystick controller but i'm wondering if theres a simplier way to do it. Plus when i use that method i use those joystick controllers instead of morpher's spinners wich is kinda messy for me.
I prefer just using morphers spinners.

If theres any simple tutorial or someone that can just tell me how to do it that would be awesome!
To resume, suppose the value of the morpher A is 0, the opacity of morphing A layer in composite map is 0 too, if its 100 the other is 100 too and so on for all morphers. Linked spinners.
Dunno if it would work in curve editior..

ANyways, hope to hear from you guyz!

Hey there!

I'm pretty close to figure it out but my noobness catches me :(

I tried using the wireparameters function, only problem is the "opacity" spinner value isnt availablewhen i browse the composite material..
Idk why.
Its not on the dopesheet/curve editor either.

So i wired the "morpher A spinner" to the "output level spinner" of the associated map in the composite material. It works but the relation is 100 = 100. Thing is i need the "output level spinner" to be 1 maximum when morpher spinner is 100 or higher (when "use limit" checkbox is unchecked in the morpher modifier dialog).

Thing is i don't know how to write that in the expression box of the wire parameter dialog.
( 0=0,100=1,100>=1 ) i doubt that syntax works! Still i hope you get the idea..!

I've searched "spinner value expression wire parameter relation" and such but i don't find anything related.

A hint - you can type any expressions in the Wire controller, including simple (and not so simple) math.
So if the value coming from the Morpher is 100, you can just divide it by 100 to get 1 in the output level spinner.

To Borislav:
Where can I find a description of the available variables and syntax for the exression box?
I will be very appreciative of your help!
