Sketchup like Modeling?

is it possible to make a plugin that would allow modeling as in SketchUp?

Anything is possible. Instead, why not model in Sketchup then import into 3ds Max? Both software have advantages; why not use each for their strengths. Good luck!

Just imagine the ease of modeling in 3ds max! A major drawback is exactly
what has Sketchup. Would elevate it to a higher and more affordable level.
The development team, that is what they decided, should a little better
think about it. A professional and robust tool should not be difficult.

Or a plugin/command for Open in External Editor. Just like photo/maps!
