maxwell render material

Hey there guys,

I cant find ANY information anywhere concerning maxwell and maxscript.
I am also pretty new to programming so im sure there is an easy answer to this.

All i want to do is change the "Reflect.0" parameter of a newly created maxwell material.
When I enable macro recording i get this

meditMaterials.(null).(null).ReflectedColor = color 128 128 128

the (null) is what bothers me. if i paste it back again to rerun the script with - lets say color 20 20 20 - I get:
