maxscript out of date

short of restarting max, how do I force the scite editor to update a script that is being edited outside of max?
I'm getting no updates of a script that is in C:\max10\scripts, even when I close the editor and re-open the file.
also if its some new deliberate feature how do I go about disabling it?

Simply closing the file and then opening it again works here. File > Revert is easier and also seems to work.

If it's a macroscript you can reevaluate the script or look for the smarty-pants saved
version in

C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax\9 - 32bit\enu
