Help with Texture changing with MaxScript

Hi,

I have been looking at MaxScript to help me do things but i’m completely new to the Scripting side of Max.

I’ve been following bits online and experimenting with listener. But only get a very short way before I hit a wall.

What I am trying to do is automate max to open/ change the diffuse texture to a new one in the root folder/ render/ save and close.

Is this even possible and if so could someone direct me towards some help please?

Thanks

Adam

Yes, it's definitely possible.
Not sure what your problem is though -- 3dsMax documentation has quite an extensive set of MaxScript tutorials.

Hi,

Thanks for responding.

Like I say, this is completely new to me and was getting on ok with Listener seeing what the code was for each action I took.
But as soon as I get to selecting a material and opening the bitmap and stuff no code pops up.

There is a lot online like you say but pin pointing how to control that specific area is proving hard to find exactly what I need.

Thanks

Adam
