I'm just wondering if it's possible for the 3ds Max grouping tool to be able to group by alligned objects? I have thousands of objects that have different types of Level of Details alligned correctly over each other, but in order to use the Level of Detail plugin the objects need to be grouped first and doing them one by one will take a few months 🙂
So I was wondering maybe there is a way to make grouping group by alligned objects?
I can't seem to find anything on the Google about it or in 3ds max forums, I've tried setting up a few naming conventions in the Scene Explorer to put all the objects together like - Object-01 / Object-01_LOD1 / Object-01_LOD2 etc.
To maybe have a second way of grouping it via the Scene Explorer, but it looks like a script may need to be written for that?
