Hello, so I recently got 3DS Max 2016 and have been experiencing a problem with link FBX.
Basically I have exported an FBX from Lightwave, and imported it into Max as a link FBX. This works fine.
However when I adjust and re-export the FBX file from Lightwave, and try to reload it, I get the error message 'FBX file is empty'.
I found the following thread regarding a similar problem, but I'm not entirely sure if it resolves my issue, as they are discussing revit fbx exports.

Any suggestions as to where the problem lies? Is it possibly because I'm exporting the fbx from Lightwave, a non autodesk product?
