3ds Max 2021 - Hybrid (debug) Build is not working

Hello,

I've downloaded 3ds Max 2021 - Hybrid (debug) Build from my ADN panel. When I run 3dsmax.exe from the x64/hybrid folder, it only shows splash screen for less than a second, then closes. It only creates InstallSettings.ini which contains the following text:

[Least User Privilege]
useUserProfiles=0

I have the same problem in running 3ds Max 2020.3 - Hybrid (debug) Build and running Hybrid (debug) versions from my project solution.

Regular version of 3ds Max 2021 is installed on my machine and works without any problem. The contents of its InstallSettings.ini is:

[Least User Privilege]
useUserProfiles=1
installedBuild=1

Does anybody have any idea how to solve the issue?

Hi @nnikbin ,

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry you are experiencing it. 

The 3ds Max 2021 ADN build that is currently available for ADN members to download has pre-release (beta) licensing, hence it won't work when you have the regular (non-beta) release of 3ds Max 2021 installed.

We are working to remediate this problem, and will follow up here as soon as we have a new ADN build tested on our end and posted for you to download.

Hi @nnikbin , As @attilaszabo mentioned his team was able to produce a new 3ds Max 2021 build that runs adjacent to the production version. This seems to be resolved now, and it's great to see your confirmation in this thread.

I have updated the ADN member site, so anyone needing it as ADN member can get it from there.

Therefore will mark this as solution.
