Weird Pivot Point Issues

Weird Pivot Point Issues

Not applicable

With each new object I create, the pivot points eventually start to act strange.  In the picture I created a simple cube, the initial pivots were like normal but then I start editing the verts and the orientation becomes what you see in the photo.

Even if I change the pivot settings from view to local it becomes distorted!

Hi,

You need to use Parent not Local when working with vertices

Quick Edit to clarify: Subobject Levels have their own Local Axis, and while you'll not have a problem with Polygon and Element subobjects levels,

because you'll not have a problem with their own pivot orientation as you will see if you try it.

In Vertex and Edge subobject levels you need to use Parent. The Box is the parent of all subobject levels, so choosing parent means choosing the

Box's Pivot.
