Hi!

i´ve a problem with my vray materials list. suddenly, they just appear in grey like if i didn´t select the vray motor render.

what is curious is that i can use glass materials without problems, but any other material from the list, like concrete, marble, wood.. i just can´t

i attached a photo showing this..Sin título.png

i´ve been using these materials for a long time and now i don´t know what happened

i will wait for a soon reply

THANKS!

Hi,

You need, beside choosing the default renderer, to put Max in the Vray mode,

To do that open 3DS Max and:

1- Go to customize menu, Custom UI and Defaults Switcher...

2- In the dialog that opens, top left group, choose MAX.vray

3- Click Set

vray.PNG

You'll need to restart Max.

Now when you open Max and go to the material editor, all slots are already Vray materials

Ready to be used.

Accepted solution

If you go to the Render Setup dialog, Assign Renderer rollout,

Do you see exactly what you see in the photo below? :

materials.PNG

You need to understand that if you saved your file with different

Configurations related to the Material Editor's choice in the Assign Renderer

Rollout, you'll get this configuration when you open your file, even though you changed

The defaults globally.
