textures on a loft object

Hello,

I want to texture an object made with loft but it doesn't work as I expected. Probably a simple mistake in settings but I can't find it. When I make a texture, just a very simple picture from the internet put in bitmap and drag the material on the loft object, I only see a flat brown color. When I use the same material on a box, I get the correct material. I added a quick printscreen. If the issue is more complex than I thought, let me know and I will add a zipfile with the whole 3ds file and pictures.

@julie_elsen

You need to provide UVW Mapping for the loft object and there is a check box to "Apply Mapping" in the Surface Parameters Rollout of the Loft which is not checked by default.

Check that box and you should see your bitmap.

Dear @julie_elsen

Welcome to the community!
I made a similar design and activating Apply Mapping corrects the map in the Loft.

I hope this helps you. 😎

Thank you very much!

Sorry for the late response. I had to put my project a side for a while.
