strange results in my export

hello. i've been learning how to create models for dota 2 and im stuck. i've made a shell to go on my characters shoulder and only the outline and random pieces can be seen rather then being a solid object.

 

if anyone could explain to me the reason that would be amazing! thanks in advance!

Hi. Try to put an "Edit Mesh" or "Edit Poly" modifier on top of it before exporting it. If this doesn't do it, then try to collaps it before export (right click on the top of the modifier list and select "Collaps All".

thanks for the suggestion was already in edit poly i fixed the issue
though. i had done my unwrap uvw before i applied my smoothing groups and
exporter the .fbx with the smoothing group.
