Skate Bowl Type Model

I am creating a flame trench and I need to create a skating bowl type shape. How would I do this?

I'm not familiar with the detailed requirements of a skate bowl but here's a shape I quickly made from 2 splines.  I created a profile spline in the front view (green) and a spline for the path in the top view (red).

I then applied a Sweep modifier to the path spline to yield the following.

Some adjusting of the spline vertices is required at this point to get a satisfactory shape.
