In 3dsmax when I try to select an object ,I have difficulty.I move to mouse cursor to the object that I want to select. Before I click mouse,3dsmax highlight the object that I want to select. However when I click mouse ,another object is selected. Is there an easy way to make this selection job easy..Thank you...

This could be down to you being in the perspective camera. (shortcut [P]) try going into orthographic if you are having trouble selecting things acuratly (shortcut [U])

Hope this is a simple fix for your problem.

You didn't say what display mode you are using. For example, in Wireframe you need to select objects along their edges.  This can make selecting overlapping objects easier.  You could always hide background geometry if it isn't temporarily needed. And then there's always the Select by Name option.
