Question: What tool/method is used in the picture?

Found this picture online and I want to recreate it. I too have a car model and would like to slice the whole thing for laser cutting boards.

Can someone please give me a tutorial on how to do this, I would very much appreciate it!!!!

The geometry of the car in the attached image is propably based on quad modeling and it has this loops.

Use the edit poly modifier, select these loop edges and then you can click on the ''create shape from selection'' button.
