Problem with Extruding polygons

 Problem with extruding I used to be get face from each side now when i extrude any object even a simple box I can only get the front face not the back face. i tried all help suggestions from other posts like vertices on difference planes and starting with a 3d perimitive but still have the same problem.. what am I missing ? please help. thanks in advance. EDIT: SORRY FOR DOUBLE POSTING DUE TO CONNECTION PROBLEM.

Do you not see a capping option for the Extrude modifier?

Great!! Thanks a lot sir that solved 2/3rds of the problem. which is quite good,

but there is 1 more thing, your solution was for line based extrusions but what about extruding from polygons??

It creates no Start Capping it only caps the direction of the extrusion and leaves the back end Hollow, also there is no option for capping when in polygon mode, is there a way to go around that ? also applying multiple extrusions doesn't solve it, thanks a lot once again !

1. Right-click the Editable Poly and convert it to an Editable Mesh

2. Go to the Modify Panel and pick the Face sub-object of the Editable Mesh then do a big select window to select all the faces of the mesh.

3. Further down in the Modify panel you should see Extrude under Edit geometry.  Set the Extrude value as you wish. This will create an extruded object that is capped on only one side.

4. Select Editable Mesh  in the Modify panel and then apply a Cap Holes modifier.

Don't ask me why this is so complicated!
