Problem - DAE to 3DS MAX 2016

Not applicable

Hi I'm a new member and I don't have experience with 3DS MAX 2016.

I came up with the idea to replace some characters in Mario Kart Wii by my favourite ones. So I watched a tutorail, but the version was 2010. I tried doing everything step by step, but I cannot import my .DAE model to 3DS MAX 2016.

The configuration box that appears is other than mine in 2016. I tried a few variations, but it doesn't import the model correctly. (You can see the Warning message box in the attachment.

The programm says that it cannot use the format's bones and something with FBX.

What do I have to do now to import my model correctly? Please give a detailled description.

Thank you very much ๐Ÿ™‚

I converted the file now to an FBX with FBX Converter 2013.3. With the settings shown in a tutorial video, how to create a custom character, I still got the same problem without a warning message. The Yoshi model still looks like a T ๐Ÿ˜ž
