Polygons keep splitting

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello there,

whenever I seem to move a vertex within editable poly it seems to create these triangles between the polys. This really disturbs modelling as they are visible when rendering.

any help on how to get rid of them?

why not weld the vertex so they don't split?

Check and assign smoothing groups to the model. If you really want them gone, you should increase the subdivision (more lines for a linear polygon flow).

Imagine any flat quad polygon, by flat I mean a plane connects all 4 verts.  Now you move one of these verts out of plane.  How could the mesh remain connected UNLESS the polygon stops being flat?
