Ortho in 3ds Max

Hi

I am posting this question here after been unable to find anything on this simple subject anywhere.

As we have F8 in AutoCad to turn ortho on and draw dead straight lines or objects, what is the 3ds Max form of this operation? How do i make a wall, door, window etc objects to draw dead straight and not go sideways when i am in top view. I have tried axis constraints but they don't seem to work for drawing objects however they work okay for moving and scaling.

thanks in advance

@manibhleria14

You can create your own ortho shortcut in 3dmax ...

First >> customize >> user interface >> search for ortho snapping mode and add shortcut .1.png

2.PNG
