Hello to all:
I am getting going with using MAX Interactive to put my factory conveyor layouts into a virtual-world setup. I have some lingering concerns about file size and materials.
My conveyor layouts have hardly any organic objects, mostly long, flat surfaces...so I would think that means fewer vertices, less info for the program to "keep track of...." um, right?
Also, I haven't been able to import my Inventor assembly as either a native .iam file OR AutoCAD DWG (exported out of INV) without having all sorts of surface color problems upon arriving in MAX. Turns out exporting out of INV as an IGES file gives me a nice, completely-correctly-colored view of my layout from INV. Why is that, and should I really be concerned about it going into MAX Interactive?
Thanks in advance for any informed replies!
