Objects seem to be moving and scalling in a grid while snap is off.

I have no idea how to fix this. I would like to understand what is causing this behavior. It seems to happen after using ornigraphic mode with snaps.

This does sound strange!  Would it be possible for you to attach a .max file so I can take a closer look?  Does this only happen when you are actively creating objects?  I can't be sure what's causing this from just the description, but I wonder if Autogrid is on or something along those lines.  This is indeed odd behavior if all your snaps are off, so a hands on look might be the best for us both.  Thank you very much!
