Not able to move the object

Hello I was using 3ds max for light and rigging but all of a sudden I am not able to rotate or move the grid using alt+scroll and scroll just for moving. However I am able to zoom in and zoom out with the help of scroll button but for the above mentioned they are not working. Please help me .

Hi,

Go to customize menu, Preferences, Interaction Mode tab,

Set it to 3DS Max and press OK. Hope this will solve it.

Try resetting your User Settings by:

1- Close 3DS Max

2- Go to: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20xx - xxbit

3- Rename the folder called ENU to something else like ENU.Old

4- Restart Max

Note: AppData is a hidden folder, so you need to enable the option that shows hidden

Files and folder from the Control Panel

Sometimes an object's transform can be locked, look for an actual button with a lock on it at the bottom of your file window, if it's highlighted yellow that means its activated. you can easily have activated it without realizing because the shortcut for is is the spacebar, so try 'unlocking' it
