My walls keep snapping into the grid?

Basically what the title says.

I am trying to construct walls for a house, and it walls are all of a suddenly starting to snap into the grid lines. Whenever I create a box, it makes me adjust the x and z coordinates. But when I try to move the y, it won't move. But if I move my cursor enough, it snaps into a y dimension that I cannot adjust. Can someone help? Thanks.

Press "S" to enable/disable Snaps, or click the Snaps button on the main toolbar. Right-click the Snaps button to configure which Snaps are active.

Thank you very much! You did such a nice job of explaining on both of my posts!
