Hi,
I want to mirror this half chair leg from the right side onto the left side while keeping the bottom of the chair leg parallel to the ground.
How would I go about doing this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would guess that the Mirror plane is not correctly aligned in the vertical. You may need to rotate the gizmo a little, or change the rotation of the chair leg's pivot point to be aligned to World before applying the Mirror or Symmetry modifier.
