This has always been happening which is very frustrating and damaging to my model.
For instance; when I move a vertex to Y:45, at any point in the future it appears in position Y:45,782. Same for edges and, to a lesser extent, polys.
Is there a way to fix this?
Use Customize, Units to check that the System Unit Scale is the same as the Display Units.
Looks like mine is the same way as yours only differing in the unit itself (I use meters instead of milimeters)... Does the Origin or Resulting %ACC have anything to do with it?
Does the Origin or Resulting %ACC have anything to do with it?
It could. The further geometry is from the origin the fewer decimal places of accuracy. I doubt this is the problem. What are the value shown in your drawing for "Distance from Origin" and "Resulting Accuracy"?
Can you create a one line drawing that exhibits the problem? If so, please post it (in 2016 format).
Distance from Origin: 1,0
Resulting Accuracy: 0,0000001192
My 3DS Max version is '10 but this picture represents exactly my problem. Resetting the Pivot and creating a regular object (all sides the same) results in the drawing being sent off the grid far enough to cripple it.
The pivot is [supposedly] on the middle but I am getting these values:
Right poly: 10,749
Left poly: -14,281
When both should be at 12,515/-12,515
What do I do?
What do I do?
Post the file and someone may be able to ascertain the answer.
