Hi, i do not understand why when i apply a texture on my character, the texture does not respect the exact positions.
In the IMAGE 1 you can see the model without texture
In the IMAGE 2 you can see the model with the texture 1
And in the IMAGE 3 you can see the model with the texture 2
How i can solve this problem?

Hi,
The problem is that the details inside both textures don't have the same locations,
What i mean is that, for example, the eyes in both textures should be in the same place In both images,
same thing goes for the pants, the shirt, etc,...
So the solution is to fix one of the bitmaps used so that the same elements are exactly
At the same locations in both textures.

I do not think they are errors with textures, because this character has been extracted from a game with his textures.
Can i send you the character via email so you can see if you can apply textures?

hi,
i was interested in seeing both texture files and compare between them,
to see if both have the elements at the same places,
And to check if both bitmaps have the same aspect ratio,
Anyway if you like to send the file with the texture you can.

Hi,
I made a screencast to show the process i used to apply the two textures To the model.
Now i didn't prepare a lot for this video so excuse me for some chaotic moments 🙂

Hi, at the minute 7 and 23 seconds when you set the (SetID:) on 2, what button press after?
I press the enter button, but don't change the color of the polygons from pink to red, why?

Hi,
Yes you can press Enter or click outside,
Maybe something in the process is missing,
Did you create the Multi/Sub-Object material with both materials
having the correct bitmaps in them?
Also, did you apply this material to all the objects in the scene?
Another thing, maybe all is correct, but you need to go inside the second material and
Click the option "Show Shaded Material In viewport"

The video contains all the steps,
No extra steps done before the video.

maybe it does not work because I have not installed backburner, uhm...

Backburner is for network rendering
I'm sure this is not the issue

Hi,
At the second 0:39, after you click Open, if you look carefully at the "Image File List Control" dialog,
You'll notice that you're still picking the texture_1.tif (even though you picked the second texture)
It's strange, but i recommend when you want to choose the texture_2.tif to double click it instead of
Clicking open. Of course, this is weird, and OPEN should work.
At least you know what's the problem now, you were just applying the same first texture again.
Here's is a snapshot from your video at second 0:39
