How can you detach multiple elements in an object to multiple separate objects instead of one big object?

I have an object with many elements attached, and I was wondering if there was an easier way to detach them all from the original object than by detaching each individually.

Hi @doylec23535

There is a handy script called object detacher (which will do exactly what you are asking with more options as well)  that is part of a collection of very useful free scripts from Neil Blevins that are available here:

http://www.neilblevins.com/art_assets/scripts/soulburnscripts_for_3dsmax.htm

I highly recommend this collection of very useful scripts.
