Hand rail modelling using Sweep modifier

Hi 

when i model hand rail of a stair case using sweep modifier it twists at the another end; Due to this, it loses it's real shape.. is there any other method to do the same or is there any tweaking available with sweep modifier itself.. please help...

Can you upload a Picture of your actions and results? Plus, have you tried 3DS Max's built in Stairs, Fences etc? You can find them under CREATE> GEOMETRY> AEC EXTENDED (in the Drop down list) See attachment_1.
