Freeze UVWs Edit for many seconds after click on UV maps

Hi.

I busy create a UVW map from my mode. but when I click on any UV in UVWs Edit or trying to move them, it freeze for second and then will back to normal state. with this problem I can't continue my work. I used 3ds max 2012 SP2, but I checked it with 3ds max 2017 SP3 and problem still exist.

Does anyone know how can fix it?

Thanks.

Based on your system info, I believe that your PC doesn't meet the 3DS Max's Minimum requirement if you've checked them. Does this problem exist when you're unwrapping or modeling other stuffs? I expect your pc to slow down when doing work in Max 2017 or even earlier versions. I've had this problem before with my older Laptop spec almost similar to yours, and then I had to upgrade to new one and now, even that's starting to crash abruptly (rarely though)

I think this not relate to system requirement because today I test it on Better pc:

Ram: 8G

CPU: Core i3-3210

VGA: GeForce GT 640

and problem also exist.

this is my model if possible open it with your 3ds max and check this problem is exist or not.

You're right. It happens on my PC as well. Both 2017 and 2018 have the same result. Plus, when running your file, the hard disk just rocketed too. And if you notice, if you hover over the 3DS max icon on the taskbar after freezing, you'll see multiple windows with 3DS max (It happened in mine).

But then, it was resolved very easily. I just Reset Xform before unwrapping again. Problem disappeared. In the Screencast I made, I skipped the Freezing UV editor part because it's wasting time. So I've only included the Reset Xform part as a proof.

Hope it solves the problem.

Thanks my friend.

it's now work very well on 3ds max 2017 but seem this problem can't fix on 3ds max 2012.

Anyway, you helped me a lot.Smiley Happy
