I have linked a new fbx file into 3d max 2018, however I am getting alignment issues. The fbx was generated from REVIT 2016. As you can see from the screengrab, the louvres do not align up and if you look at it from the plan view its staggering.
I have checked the REVIT model and everything is straight and not staggering.
Other points I have checked: the model is at origin 0,0,0 and the scale is in mm.
Can anyone help why this is happening?
Thanks
Hello @nawlliw,
did you already try to load the FBX-plugin into 3ds Max 2018? Here is more information how to load the plugin: Loading the FBX Plug-ins
If you already loaded the FBX plugin, here is a video which shows the workflow from Revit to 3ds Max:
I hope this helps to solve the issues with the offset. I'm looking forward to your reply, if you had success!
Best regards,
Patrick
Hello @nawlliw,
I just wanted to follow up and ask if my last suggestion and information have been helpful for you? Looking forward to your reply!
Best regards,
Patrick
Hi,
I don't use Revit, but my long experience in Max tells me that when you have perfectly aligned objects
In other programs, like AutoCAD, and they become messed up in Max, it's the distance from the origin that causes
The problem. I know you said you have no such problem, but I suggest you look into that again.
