Extrude on roof bad result

Hey, getting a bad result whenever I try extruding an inverted gabled roof with local normals. The door is supposed to overlap perfectly against the extruded wall, but instead the wall is slightly bent so the top portion of the door sticks through the wall.

Notice the top part of the door poking through the wall (the door is straight btw)

Notice the door perfectly overlaps if extrusion is set to 'by polygon' but it messes up the corners

Notice how extrusion by 'local normals' works fine if I deselect the two upper roof polygons

How the model looks (verts all welded)

Was suggested using 'straighten corners' in Shell modifier and that did the job. 💪
