Character Creation Help

Not applicable

Hello. Ive just recently started working in 3ds Max and I am merely a novice at this stage.

I have taken on a challenge to make a character for a project at my school but I am having a few problems at the moment and was hoping someone would be able to help me out.

I have the main body, arms, and legs done, but I am having a bit of trouble on the arm pits and the crotch area. Ive been trying for a while to fix these errors but haven't been able to find a viable solution. Any help would be very appreciated! Thanks!

Also it would help to explain how to connect both sides of the model.

Here's my tips:

  1. Learn how to use the symmetry modifier
  2. Study edge loops
  3. Start over on your model
  4. Study edge loops
  5. Start over on your model
  6. Go back to #2

Enjoy 🙂

I would strongly suggest taking few classes on www.lynda.com or www.digitaltutors.com

There are few rules, which one must follow when modeling a 3D character for animation.

3D modeler must understand how a bone system will affect a character.

You can also open tutorials in 3dsMax and follow instructions.

Good luck!
