Can't find a way to create vertical text

I thought Texplus would allow me to type vertically, but there is no option for typing text vertically.  I'm surprised that this is so difficult for a major 3D program to exclude this process.  So, is there a secret location where I can type text vertically instead of horizontally?

Create it in a front or left view.

Thanks!....it worked.  I don't know how you figured that out.  I couldn't find any documentation on how to do it.

I see how to drag a vertically narrow region for the text and it will create it vertically, but I can do that in a top viewport as easily as a front or left.  But just creating a TextPlus object in a front view vs a top view does not display any additional orientation options in the Modify panel that I can see.  Am I missing something?
