Can't Dimension to Circle Edge

Trying to model a Ying yang with 2 seperate halfs, With a gold beveling. However when the edging comes together it always loses the gold edging either at the top or in the middle. Tried anchor points with element. bevel changes, extrusion changes, none seem to fix it. Any help would be useful.

Can you post a pic of just the black half of the symbol? Might help narrow down the issue.

Maybe you've figured this out by now (I'm not on the forums regularly), but it looks like what I would expect for a bevel: consistent (gold) edge all around. If you are not getting what you desire, it's probably something other than the bevel modifier that is not doing what you expect. Co-incident faces, maybe?

Hi. Looks like the white and black parts fits perfectly together, leaving no space for the gold bevel. You need to offset the base shapes inwards with the exact same distance as your bevel "thickness".

Hope it helps (if not to late)
