UV Unwrap Relax Tools "Start Relax " Button Missing

Hi everyone, I was having problems with 3ds Max UV Unwrap editor. The Relax tool is supposed to have a "Start Relax" Button that I am aware of, since my professor at University uses it and all my classmates have it too, however for some odd reason I cannot seem to find that button on my Relax tool dialog box as seen on the screenshot. I searched for a long time on the internet to find a solution but I couldn't so I'm here now posting this on the forum. Hopefully you guys can help.

Product Version - 2022.2 Update (24.0 - 24.2.0.2334)

Please let me know if you need any more screen captures or information. Thanks.

There's no Start Relax button anymore 🙂 Unwrap UVW uses now the Unfold3D algorithm (Peel, Pack & Relax).

Seems like your class did not install the .2 update 😛

I also miss it (a bit) - it made it possible to relax a little in one mode, switch to another mode and relax further. Well, now it's different 🙂  Let's give it a try and find out how to work with it. I haven't yet used it for complicated unwraps but easy ones are fast to do and I find myself using the Peel-function more often (and also spamming the Apply-button...).

There is an option to relax...but still not convenience like it used to be. Relax every pieces of UV at the same time. Looking forward to see another update...

Well, that's the Pelt-mapping relax-function, slightly different thing. And it relaxes what you select.

Select UV and then click "pelt map" in a circle you find relax. 🙂

Please Autodesk. Stop making 3ds Max worst instead of fixing issues. Give Start relax button back.

I am sorry to say that but that's another thing on my list of annoying autodesk "fixes" that make the work worse. This button IS NEEDED! Give the button back!

Why Autodesk always removing something?! Like the same way as they removed threshold from symmetry for some reason... WHY?!?!?!? This is so stupid that I don't have even any reasonable explanation why even someone doing this besides that he is some evil person who sitting hunched over the table in some basement and laughs ominously while removing some functionality... Like: "mheheheheheheheheh ill show you all!!!" Man I dunno who made this  SUPER weird decisions every time, but he need another job.

I mean... This Unfold3D is very slow and sometimes crashes max and in some cases doing some weird stuff...
Now we just have to press on this apply button 100 times when using face angles... I mean sure this button may not be compatible with Unfold3D functionality, but why this "Start Relax " button can't just appear when you selecting "Face angles". I just simply do not understand that - this is just a few lines of code, but still you make this in the worst way possible.

I really have no other explanation that you are doing this just on purpose to piss us off.

C'mon guys could you hire some competent specialists to do the programming already?! Or at least consult with someone experienced in your program before making this weird decisions?

Why doesn't "keep boundary points fixed" work any more? FFS

The results of both "Unfold3D Optimize" and "Relax by Polygon Angles" presents an uneven UV spread.

I prefer the previous relax version on Max 2022 instead of this 2023 update.

I've been working in 3dmax since version 5. when it wasn't autodesk yet.
this button is required. return everything as it was 2 versions ago.

why make changes that make the program worse? this is more like a diversion within the company in order to destroy the already bad image of 3dmax.
