Hi I have an issue with spline modeling..

I use line tool to draw a rectangle shape, and convert it to editpoly so i can select all the edge and create shape from it, and then i can gie the spline some thickness to mke it look like net ( i have attached 2  jpeg to show what i mean)

My problem is after i create shape from selection, and smooth option, the spline look good to me, my question is how can i keep all the look equal size? as you can see from my jpeg, the hole is not equal, look like some are distort...hoping someone could help me sort it...thanks in advance.

You'll need to add more vertical lines towards the right end of your spline (the stretched out regions). You'll have to do this progressively, unless you're good at crunching numbers, then you can work out the correct ratio of vertical lines to add.

Also, it's impossible to keep them all the same size since the rectangle squeezes on one end, and the other is stretched out, but they all contain equal amounts of holes vertically.

Hi i trying to make the area 1 look same as area 2.

i cannot make more segment for horizon or vertical, because it will make the hole look smaller than current, the size of the hole has confirmed by cleint.

you have to check different smooth options or modifier may be that help in retaining shape.

thanks

Thank you for your reply, but i didn't see any smooth option in the "create shape from selection" dialog.
