Scaling seems to have switched to uniform only, I can't do just one axis anymore

Hi everyone, the title says it all.

I can't seem to scale anything on just one axis. The scale tool (in the UV editor) seems to just do all three and just makes things bigger or smaller in uniform. 

Any help?

I'm assuming that you're trying to do this in the UV editor, rather than general modelling?

in which case you need to select the freeform option next to the "scaling" button (on the top menu bar). This will give you handles in the corners to be able to deform it non-uniformly
