Render to Texture Panel Not Showing Up

Hi,

My Render to Texture panel is not showing up. I have made sure that the panel isn't popping up off screen. When I select "render to texture", or press 0, nothing happens.

My Render to Texture works fine in Max 2017.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3ds Max 2019, with no success.

Could you please advise?

Hi,

I suggest you reset your User Settings:

1- Close 3DS Max

2- go to: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20xx - xxbit

3- Rename the folder called ENU to something else like ENU.old

4- Restart 3DS Max

Note: AppData is a hidden folder, so you need to enable the visibility of hidden files and folders

From the Control Panel

Note: by doing this, you'll lose any custom UI configurations,

Or any custom 3rd party Macroscripts you installed, and you'll have to reinstall them again.

If renaming the ENU doesn't help, then close Max, delete the newly created ENU folder,

And then rename the old one ENU again, this way when you restart 3DS Max you'll have back

All your custom UI settings and 3rd party Macsroscripts.

Thank you very much! I did something very similar, so I'm sure this would have worked.

I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling Max, with no success. But, I realized that Max App Data folder was not being uninstalled or deleted, so even when I reinstalled Max, it was referencing my old user settings.

I moved my App Data folder and then reinstalled Max again, and this time it worked.

So, a similar solution to what you proposed, which I believe would have worked (without the need to keep uninstalling/reinstalling!)

Many thanks!
