Im trying to do something VERY simple. Im trying to create a new polygon, a rectangle, nothing simpler. Yet it doesnt work. Why?
It keeps saying illegal face. Im really confused as to why it does that.

That tool tries to weld the vertices. It is not possible to weld an edge between two vertices to more than 2 faces. And that would happen if it allows to create that face. It is not a limitation of the tool, it is how Max works, and most of the 3d programs.
