Ok so,not sure if this goes here or not but ive been following a tutorial to make a gundam

this is the tutorial:  http://www.tutorialshine.com/3ds-max-tutorials/modeling/52-gundam-rx-78-2-modeling-head

well i got up to step twenty on part 3, and i found i was unable to weld the vertices...so i tried using bridge and connect but i was unable to do that as well, when i clicked the command buttons, nothing happened! i clicked several times with no results. i closed the program and tried it again, nothing. then i tried using connect or bridge on another model and it didnt work wither...it was working fine the other day but now none of these commands work at all,the hell is going on? :<

my version is 3ds max 2013

It's hard to say without seeing your mesh. Maybe you have mirrored something, sometime and have ended up with some flipped normals. If you go into polygon mode and select the polygons around the vertices you are trying to weld, are they all the same colour red? Or are some darker than others?

here is my mesh

the tutorial says i have to: "20. Last step, zoom in gap area between previous two objects. Activate Vertex selection. In Edit Vertices, click Target Weld. This feature is used to weld one vertex to another. Before you begin, activate 3D snap toggle. To weld, just click one vertex (A), and then click another target vertex (B). Final result is shown in small image in bottom right."

how the hell do i do that between two objects? it doesnt really explain(im very new to this program,i only got it about 2 weeks ago DX) i triedselecting both objects but when i toggle 3d snap nothing happens or it does weird thing with both objects selected, 3d snap seems to only work ith one object selected but then how am i susposed to select the vertices on the cylinder to target weld the vertices from the plane to the chamfer cylender? :U

You are quite correct, those functions will not work on 2 objects - there shouldn't BE 2 objects.

19. In Left viewport, cut like left image below. Change to Polygon selection. Select several polygons in the bottom part of Chamfer Cylinder (right image below). Delete them. When finished, go to Edit Geometry rollout. Click Attach button. Next, click face object to make both object combined.
