HOW TO CHANGE THE SELECTION MODE?

3ds max how to change the selection mode into the brush selection? i use the pen. it's not convenient to select the items. i know it had this function. but unfortunately i have gotten it.

Press Q multiple times to change the selection type. See attachment.

yeah, i got it. but i use the pen. you know not the mouse. i want to select face when my cursor is touched it. you know what i mean?
