I got this desktop in November 2019, paid over 3k euro for it at the time. specs are as follows:
I thought that with the decent hardware, I would enjoy a smoother experience but not the case, with frequent lagging, freezing and at least one guaranteed crash every work session. I'm not doing particularly demanding work, not doing any particle simulation, scenes remaining usually far under 300k polys. It mainly slows down when i activate activeshade, doing around 2-3 samples for the diffuse, specular etc. It makes work very slow as when Im using activeshade, im spending around 50% of my time waiting for the program to become interactive again. Using massFX annihilates it, crashing frequently.
I have followed the tips given by autodesk to make exceptions in my antivirus but i still have issues, it may have worked but barely noticably.
i Have had to actually shut down the PC itself a couple times due to everything freezing including task manager.
Am I missing something?
