Fix self-intersect spline

Hi, I was having trouble with extruding a spline so I checked the shape with the "shape check" tool, and it founds a self-intersect problem in a vertex. So I was trying to fix that self-intersect problem with trim-extend but I wasn't able to do it, could you help me with the steps to fix this in a vertex? Thanks!

Some of the times I've had self intersection in splines, it looked like a sharp corner at a vertex but really had the bezier handles twisted out so it made a very tiny loop in the corner.  Or, a vertex on a straight line got rotated 180 degrees so it overlapped itself.  Change the vertex to a corner and both issues were fixed.  You could also move the bezier handles to un-intersect the spline.

If you still need help, can you post a picture of your problem spline so we can see it?
