Extrusion not working

Hi,

I am getting so frustrated. I'm a newbie in 3ds max. I'm almost done in a floorplan modelling, then suddenly I cannot extrude 2d shapes, it started when I accidentally activated the axis constraint. It just extrude into a flat surface with no thickness at all. I tried toggling to all the constraints but it just cant have the desired thickness like it locked, even the finished walls of my model before i can add thickness through extrusion with no problem at all, now it still does but it is getting deformed on the sides. Even when I make new file from the start I have the same problem. To further confuse me, there are few old 3ds files (not mine) on the same computer where extrusion is working perfectly! ... I'm losing my mind. Thanks if any can help!

Hi, can be something else but i think you just need to select all vertices of your 2d shape, click on weld with a low threshold and try again.

If it doesn't work, please join your scene so we can take a look.

In addition to the excellent advice above, you observed if the splines intersecting each other or overlap...

Hi, i just taked a look at your file and i can't find the problematic shapes.

Is it possible to post a screenshot pointing the shape you can't extrude.

In my tests i was able to extrude all shapes, except for Line003 wich is not a close curve, so can't work.

For Circle001, you will need to remove the extra Extrude modifier to work.

I noticed that I had to enter very high values in the extrusion in the example file ... is that right? You try with high values...

Hi. like Medal said, this file do not have any problems, and the video do not show any problem either.

Just enter a higher value and you will see the extrusion.
