Editing spline with transform type-in problem

Recently, any time I type in a specific distance/offset I want to move a vertex, segment or spline, a duplicate is created and placed at that specified distance.  Usually it will simply move the items I have selected, but no duplicate them.  Is this a setting?  Seems like I had the issue many years ago, but It has popped up again.

So are you saying that it used to work correctly, but then something happened and now it malfunctions? If so, an ENU reset might fix it as something may have gotten corrupt. If you do that and it doesn't work I'd submit a bug report. I can't reproduce it and since no one else has posted here but me, I don't think anyone else has this issue. It sounds like a local problem with your installation.
