Create spline from intersecting meshes

Is there a way to create a spline from intersecting meshes or polys? I have two intersecting meshes, and I want to create a spline at the intersection.

Thanks in advance.

when you do intersection then you get a path which is like the shape you want then make spline in top view by using that cut as guide....thanks

Thank you, Ali, for taking the time to reply!

When you say "intersection", do you mean boolean, proboolean, or some other CREATE function?

I tried using create\ProBoolean\intersection+subtract and I got the shape you see attached. What I REALLY want to end up with is just the curvy spline on the top (RED arrow).

Also, why is ProBoolean creating some edges that are not at the intersection (yellow arrows)

Thanks again!

If you use max 2017 with the new booleans, you can duplicate the boolean result and convert (yes, convert) directly to editable spline to get the intersection curve.

Any chance you could show me how to do that? I've tried several methods using both Boolean compound objects to no avail.

Thanks!!
